Fellas, The reality is that most of the available 5.7x28 ammo won't penetrate body armor (see YouTube videos) so this is less of a big deal that we first thought. The next thing that has occurred to me is that if one is enamored with a pistol like this--small, high velocity bullet in a high capacity blaster that looks very modern, the Kel-Tec .22 Magnum is a great poor man's alternative. And if the "modern looks" aspect isn't a must, Rock Island Armory's .22 TCM is ballistically the best performer of the the three--if we leave out the military-only ammo for the 5.7. And RIA pistols are not too expensive. More than the Kel-Tec if you can find a Kel-Tec not in the hands of a gouger, but far less than the FN product! |
