Description: The Sarsilmaz Hancer 9MM is made by CZ in its factory in Turkey. It is very similar to the CZ 75 9MM with a 4" chrome barrel and 15 rd. mags (where allowed). As with the CZ 75, this model has a thinner profile than a Glock. The handgun was specially made by CZ for Academy Sports & Outdoors stores and bears Academy's name on the slide. It sells for about $399 (Aug. 2007) in the Academy stores. Uploaded: 8/6/2007 by Sam Griffin

The CZ pistol patents have run out and several companies make clones or near copies, including Sarsilmaz and Canik, both of Turkey, Tanfoglio of Italy (who has been making them so long they have largely become quite different from the original CZ design), IMI/IWI of Israel, a couple different models from Switzerland, one from the UK, and several others marketed by importers but usually made by one of the above manufacturers. Other than the Model 1911-type pistol, the CZ75 is the most prolific full-sized pistol in the world, I suspect, with only the Browning P35 hi-Power giving it a run for the money.
