This was an aerial .30 caliber MG (ANM-2) that was modified with a Garand buttstock, a custom trigger, and a BAR bipod and rear sights. It was created and made famous by Marine Cpl. Tony Stein, although others used them during WWII. The Marines scrounged these MGs from wrecked Douglas Dauntless dive bombers. The rate of fire (1200+ rpm) was about equal to the German MG-42.
