Description: German soldier checking out wreckage of B-17F "Shangri-La Lil" in France, 1943. My cousin was the navigator on this bomber, and bailed out before it crashed. He spent the remainder of the war in several POW camps, including Stalag Luft 3, the camp where the "Great Escape" took place. Uploaded: 3/23/2009 by Harvey Goldman
