Same sword as Image 1. This sword has silverplated release button and mon, which indicates the family crest. Upon surrender, some officers deliberately defaced or removed their mon, to avoid disgracing the family name. And that is probably why we deliberately ground off the cherry blossoms on surrendered Arisaka rifles.
