Handguns--Modern
Description: Old scanned photo of my Colt Series 70, first 1911-style pistol I owned. Shows the gun with its second finish, a gray Parkerizing, and sights I'd forgotten about. I think they might have been MMC? The safety lock is a King's, and massively oversize--that lasted no time at all before I first hacked off the extension and then finally removed it and replaced it with a stock lever. The Mustang stock panels later were customized by friend Rocky Kemp. That trigger is long gone as well. Back 25 years or so ago Samson was a commonly found FMJ practice ammo, made by IMI in Israel. I'd buy it cheap and reload the brass forever. Probably still have cases loaded or awaiting loading.
