Did you own this carbine, or was it something you had in the shop? I've seen conversions of M1 Carbines to .45ACP, as well. My personal opinion on converting older generation milsurps to shoot a different cartridge is general negative. First, most of the time one is desecrating a collectible, unless the arm is somehow trashed beyond resurrection, and then why resurrect it? Secondly, there are so many better modern guns to use--and most already come in whatever chambering one could desire. Just my two cents. |
