Description: My modest collection of Smith & Wesson automatics. Clockwise starting at top left are models 1006 (10mm), 4506-1 (.45ACP), 439 (9mm), 5904 (9mm), 3904 (9mm), and in the top center, 3914 (9mm). Like everyone today, I own too many 9mms.
While not a serious collector, I am a big fan of the single-stack 9mm, and since I have a representative model from both the second generation (439) and third generation (3904), I really need a first generation, the pistol that started it all for Smith & Wesson, a Model 39-2.
