Description: This here is Skeeter Skelton's Ruger #1 Rifle chambered in .45-70. In a Face Bork conversation, I asked Bart Skelton if he had a picture of his Dad's rifle given to him by Bill Ruger. He replied with this:
Bart Skelton T.J. Parmele asked for a photo of this gun. My dad went hunting with Bill Ruger on his lease up in New England. Bill had a huge gun room lined with the finest rifles. Bill told the old man to pick what he wanted to hunt with. There were Rigby's, Westley's and everything else. This is the gun he chose.
