Description: This is how one keeps from watching TV. I copied a pocket pistol quite common in England in the late 1700s. The cock and frizzen are from another kit, the barrel and frame are scratch built from steel bar stock. The barrel unscrews to load, the piece is charged with 25 grains of 3Fg black powder and a .42 caliber ball which is .005" oversize- this gets quite a bit of efficency from the powder charge. This type of pistol was produced in vast quantities over a period of nearly 100 years.
