Description: Shell catchers are useful when shooting one round at a time with your semi-automatic shotgun as you do for singles or handicap in trap or when throwing single targets while "plinking". They catch the empties and hold them where they are easy to remove and stick in your vest - no duck-walking around or bending over to pick up hulls after you shoot!
This Birchwood Casey shell catcher sells for less than $20 and sticks onto your shotgun's receiver with double-sided tape. It is designed to fit most semi-automatics and comes with complete installation instructions. With its wire arm snapped into the "up" position hulls are caught between the wire and the edge of the ejection port as they try to eject. You simply slide the hull forward to the front of the port where the wire isn't in the way and lift out your hull. If you load the gun through the ejection port you have to insert the shell base-first and slide the base to the rear as you drop the shell in. With the wire snapped in the "down" position the wire is locked out of the way and the gun functions normally.
