Description: Full hip shooting position. Used primarily for fending off an attacker at close range, this position and the "half hip" replace the outdated "speed rock". Notice the two spent cases above the gun, as the shooter has just executed a draw and double tap. To acheive the "half hip" the shooter would rotate his hips slightly farther and bring the butt of the pistol back to his hip bone. This would bring the gun farther away from the attacker to protect it from a gun grab. The pistol then must be canted away from the body to allow the slide to operate.
