Description: Due Canada's restrictive 5rnd maximum in a semi-auto magazine, AR15 mags had to be "pinned" to 5 rounds. When the AR15 "pistols" were introduced, they fell into the Restricted Pistol category, so were permitted 10 rounds in a magazine. This gave birth to the LAR-15, 10rnd mag which was also legal to use in the AR15 rifle. It was a bit short and the only legal way to make them bigger physically was to:-
#1: join 2 LAR mags end to end
or
#2: add a solid plastic dummy base which gave it the same dimensions as a 30rnd magazine, which is shown next to it #3.
#4: The originaly 10rnd LAR-15 mag with a "big loop" attached to the bottom. Also a good solution to make the handling of the mag easier.
