Description: From a single cased set the Fiala (ca. 1920s, .22rf cal., mfg. New Haven, CT) there are more combinations available to the owner than I've shown here. These are the BASICS: a 3" barrel for personal carry, a 7 1/2" barrel for range and general shooting, and the 20" barrel with a detachable, walnut shoulder stock for use as a rifle. Kinda' the "orginal survival rifle." Anthony Fiala had it designed as a mag-fed, single shot because he didn't trust semi-auto actions in sub-zero environs - even though the Colt Woodsman was already a success. These guns had to be hand cycled. Approximately 4,000 were made. The High Standard Mdl. B is for comparison only, and, yes they're related through the designer of the HS forerunner: Hartford Arms single shot .22rf.
