Description: Red dot sights mounted on 1911s using adapter plates in the original rear sight dovetail sit too high to co-witness with even a tall front sight, and there is not enough room on the slide to mount a rear iron sight behind the red dot anyway. Leupold takes care of the problem by offering an accessory rear sight that mounts on the back of the red dot.
