Because they are subsonic to start with, .45ACP snubs are not as dependent on barrel length for power and a .45ACP snub can be surprisingly decent in the power department. All revolvers lose some velocity and power through the cylinder gap anyway.
Not sure I'd want to shoot "hunting loads" through a lightweight revolver like the one pictured--scandium is as light as aluminum. |
