I know what your saying but I have not found that to be a problem... not saying its not a problem just that I have found it go be a problem for me... yet! But I will take your advise and see if I'm allowing that to distract me while I'm shooting.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: They also have orange, but I'm not as fond of them. For handgun group shooting I still use my own customized handgun target I made up 25+ years ago. I found a traditional bullseye but one which had a buff center instead of a being all black. Someone had done it up but covered it with distracting printing, so I prepped one for my local print shop with all the text & logo printing covered up, just a blank target for my own use, and then printed on target-weight buff paper in bulk. I've made up a variety of targets over the years, using them over commercial targets both by preference and for cheapness (though printing costs aren't as low as they used to be), but this buff center handgun target continues to be my favorite for target shooting. I also found an example of a group I shot using this target just a few years ago. I still think it's great--you can use the black bull at six o'clock, the buff bull at six, or just take a center hold on the buff center as on the bottom photo: Image below from Mark Freburg - Image Title: Handgun Target Image below from Mark Freburg - Image Title: Glock group |
