I did post a message at the time but without doing a search I couldn't tell you the title. "Ugly 1911?" BTW, I think it's a hog rather than a dragon. I could be wrong!
I believe you're right in that it was a work in progress, or at least not fully assembled. Then too, what sort of effect would this irregular muzzle device have on the bullet and it's flight? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Fascinating, Mark! Was there a message thread on this gun when you uploaded the picture? I can't remember seeing it before. No, it's not my cup of tea, either, but fun to look at. Did you notice that the slide stop was missing? Makes me think that this gun is a work in progress and not yet finished. Stu Image below from Mark Freburg - Image Title: photos Image Info: Someone has been using their metal-working skills to turn the front end of a 1911 pistol into something resembling a dragon, according to that they wrote. I had to post the photo here. I don't know who the owner or metal worker is, and I'm simply giving my opinions. I believe everyone is entitled to do whatever they want with their own possessions, and imagination is a great thing. That said, I think this is the ugliest thing I've ever seen done to a 1911, and such a waste. Larger image available! Click image to see it. |
