Fantasic. Nice symmetry, we met on Compuserve when I was advocating for retention holsters for uniforms after a gun takeaway. You were kind enough to take me on several ridealongsi n 628, even though I worked part time at Davis Guns. I'd park my blue and silver Ranger at the firehouse and head out on 10p shift with you. I learned the right way to dry my car after washing and developed a keen appreciation for VASCAR. I'm disappointed it isn't used more these days.
Among the folks you introduced me to was a younger freeway guy I believe nicknamed "Screaming Antelope", unit 630 maybe? Congratulations on your daughter and motor unit assignment! After I left Gibson Guitar I rode a Beemer for a whole including a Bunburner 1500, 1500 miles in 24 hours and since the statute has run I will admit there was speed involved. Met my wife on my first day at Gibson, now our son is sixteen and daughter thirteen. Still in the Nashville area, now SVP of finance for Barrett Firearms Manufacturing. Unrepentant gear queer with an accumulation more than a collection! Still head over heels for everything Glocks but 4566, 1066, 5906, 4066TSW because they looked good in those CPD holsters. A few Webb stories should not be on a public forum, not many. One involves a GED and a Ranger tab on an alley light... Stay safe, great to see you, I'll be around! Sam |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Hi Sam, WOW it has been a long time! Welcome, and very good to "see you"! I hope you become a regular here. No ninjas or SEAL team members, just good shooters and good friends. I have more than enough time on the PD to retire, but I have a 15 year old daughter. I have been on the Motorcycle Squad for a long time now, and I am past normal retirement, and am now in the "DROP" program (deferred retirement). Please enjoy the forum. I hope you become a regular here. |
