Of course, Beretta engineers abandoned the Walther Wedge entirely when they designed the Cougar series (now built in Turkey under license) and the current Px4 Storm. Both of these use rotating barrels instead. Granted, both are still linear actions, so you may still have an excellent point there. (A comb could fix that. ) | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: No argument from me. I guess there is no formal name for the P38-style action (like "Browning-style"). I still believe the linear ("in line") action in the P38 approach aids in accuracy.YMMV. Harvey |
