Regrettably, the pic doesn't do the P-88 justice. The frame is matte black, but the slide is a nice polished blue, like my S70 1911.
I wanted to install wood grips, but hardly anyone made them. The ones that I saw were VERY pricey and fat, and the plastic grips were a bit too fat for the grip that I like to use on a handgun. Harvey/ Ga |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Thanks, Harvey! Well, it's better loking in my opinion than Harvey G's P5C. Fewer protrusions. It does have that matte black finish that the Europeans adopted years before the Americans started using it. It's practical but not the prettiest finish. Polish and blue the P88 and it would go a long way to "handsome-ing" it up. Maybe even some wooden stock panels?
