one in 30 30 one in 38 55 one in 45 90, all the rest are in 45 70. just had to see if I could do it and got hooked. the webely was the last one. studied the picture and the patent drawing for a year before I could figure out how it worked. got the air powered engraving tool. also built a engraving vise. am still working my way into it. started by using 1/8 sq. tool bits. finally got some of the right ones. am going to have to get the diamond sharpener. can't hold the right angles. the more you do the more you don't know. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Sounds like a grand project. Couple more questions, possibly stupid ones. These are all black powder cartridge rifles using brass cartridges, correct? Or do some of them load from the breech with paper cartridges? Also, re engraving. Didn't you get yourself an electrical tool to help you there a few years back? If so, how did that work out? |
