Oh yes, loaded chamber indicator.  Well, that's not onerous.  Did you ever consider a 22/45?  You're probably in the same boat as me--don't want to have to add a bunch of magazines when you have perfectly good mags for your Mk.IIs and III.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I have a slab side 7" SS MkII, and a 5" SS MkII. I also have a bull barrel 4" MkIII that has grooves  the length of the of the barrel to make it light -- my daughter's gun. Of those, the 7" slab side is my favorite. The MKIII guns have the loaded chamber indicator.
