I peeked too, as I like some back-up when I take on wordsmiths such as yourself. The dictionary makes it pretty clear that censorship primarily--but clearly not always--refers to official acts. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I think you're more heavily invested in the negative connotations of "censorship" than am I. That isn't an inherently bad word just a description. Something can be both censorship and enforcement of good taste, or even a bow to the norm of your expected audience. While government censorship is usually the first definition, there are others more like the magazine example in most dictionaries. I know, I peeked! Stu |
