Ordered the book from my library. One objective is to find info on The Sixth Marine Division.
My maternal uncle was in it thruout most of the war in the Pacific. HGW |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I recently read the book. It is about Col. George's experiences on Guadalcanal, then later he added a second half about his experiences with Merrell's Marauder's in Burma. While it is about war with the Japanese, his emphasis is strongly on rifles and shooting. It is a gun book for shooters, and he makes no bones about that! If you don't find a hard copy, it is available as a Kindle book for literally only a few dollars.
