The sights are aftermarket. I remember Mike D waxing eloquent about them. He did a pretty good job on the sales of those. It's sitting around in my collection for now, but I will probably trade it off. Thank you for the additional information. I can see why these were banned. Pretty good looking guns with nice steel. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Rare perhaps with those sights and no Norinco mark, TJ, but not rare back in the day before Chinese firearms were banned by a certain President. There were many imported and they were available at very low prices (a la the RIA pistols when they were first brought here). They were straight GI 1911A1s, but of great quality, and many gunsmiths preferred customizing them to US brands. Mike D. was a real fan back in the day.
