Section 16: Gun Work Subject: S&W 10-5 Stag Grips Msg# 1039368

Just used them the one time for the revolver in the picture. I was very satisfied with their work. It's just a bit costly to send down there is all.
I think the turnaround time was 6-8 weeks. I didn't consider it unreasonable. I also had them replace the barrel with one I had bought. It was literally half to do the conversion down there rather than with a local smith. They gave me a bit of a price break on both since I had them do the smith work before the NP3 Plus work. My next project with them will be my Smython project. I have an 8 inch .38 SPL Python revolver barrel that I plan on putting on a S&W 15-3. Just need to stop with the silly acquisitions I have been up to lately. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: This photo rotated onto the home page for me again. I get a kick out of this gun every time I see it. I have a Smith revolver I want to send to Robar, too, and have a question, since you've used them more than once, I believe. (?) Were you completely satisfied with their service? Do you recall what sort of turn-around time you had with Robar? Thanks, TJ! It's now a Mexican Colonel's gun (Mexican General's gun has to be capable of being shiny enough to shave with) Larger image available! Click image to see it. |
