You're right, the Ruger Super Redhawk is very heavy. Of course it is meant for .454 Casull or .480 Ruger, so it's intentionally a beast. I was just saying if thrust upon me I'd also request they thrust a box of .45 Colt upon me. 
By the way, I had a .44 Mag Mountain Gun and it took a set of Pachmayr Decellerators to tame the recoil. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: That would be tolerable but why not a S&W 44 Mag "mountain gun" 4" barrel and doesn't look as heavy? |
