I did think back when the original Spfld XD was around and popular thar Spfld made the smallest and most comfortable double stack polymer .45 auto. Eric is still sitting on the two he owns, long having stopped carrying them in favor of a Bersa 9BP CC for its smaller footprint. He never shoots the XDs anymore and talks about selling them. I think if he waits too long they'll be worth very little as everyone wants all the gizmos and gimmicks on their polymer guns today.... | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: No, very little. With my trigger finger at the same spot on the trigger guard my hand wraps just a little bit farther on the .40 but I bet that difference falls within gripping repeatability. Not that it has anything to do with the grip, but the same holster works for both guns - the slides and front of the frames are apparently the same. That leads me to think that the rest of the frame is pretty much the same as well. Stu |
