Thanks, at that price I'll stick with my 760 Game Master and Ruger American, not near as fancy but they are both in 30-06 and serve my needs for deer, black bear and elk.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It was an Alpine model (made from 1965-1968) in .30-06 and the price tag read $2495.00. I've always loved looking at these rifles but could never afford one. They are so beautiful I'd just hang one on the wall!
