I've never heard the 10 round maximum shots using the M41 ammunition...
I suspect that was an Old Airman's Tale, which were prevalant when I was in. Here's a video on the Colt versions. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Most of them were scrapped, although I've seen a few that are said to have survived. And there have been counterfeits. The reason they were scrapped, from what I've read, was for safety reasons, primarily to avoid using standard .38spl rounds in the M13 revolvers. I've never heard the 10 round maximum shots using the M41 ammunition, although that may have been true using standard .38spl ammunition. Here's a video on the Colt versions. Harvey |
