Quite honestly, this is something I learned in the murky past and can no longer point to the exact data source, but I will see if I can locate it. I too used to buy into what probably most people accept as fact--that Taurus and S&W exchanged technology. But when I got to the bottom of it I was doubly convinced it not only was wrong, but didn't make sense logically. Why would S&W share such proprietary information, especially given their reaction to Spanish copies to the extent that they put copyright warnings right on their own guns IN Spanish? It took no effort for Taurus to somewhat copy an S&W, but I've owned a handful of Taurus revolvers, and they are not true copies internally, just bult along the same lines. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I was slowly coming to accept that Taurus and S&W did share information under the Bangor Punta umbrella. Dude! This makes my morning. Much appreciated. Now, how do you know this little tidbit of information? |
