I recently sold an unfired 8 3/8" 27-2 from '78, in the wooden presentation case. I bought it years ago at a S&W dealer estate sale/auction. It was too beautiful to shoot. As I don't care to keep too many unfired guns around, I finally decided to sell it to a friend who had the Nickle version of the same gun.
But I still have it's older brother, a 1955 38-44 Outdoorsman that I do shoot, quite often. I used it last year to win a centerfire pistol woods walk. I shot an almost perfect 49/50... Here are some pictures of both. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Looks like a good whitetail "getter" as well, ever use it to hunt? Image below from HarveyWilson - Image Title: S&W 27-2 Image Info: S&W M-27 that I used in Metallic Silhouette matches. |
