If your gun has a Python frame it looks like someone cut it at an angle right where it meets the barrel's vented rib, or perhaps screwed a Python barrel onto another, perhaps different, Colt model's frame??? The frame on my Python isn't cut at a downward angle-it lines right up with the rib. However, the frame on the Colt .357 Magnum Revolver below looks more like yours??? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: 1967 IIRC. Your talk and nostalgia toward them got me thinking. Then I stumbled on this used one this afternoon for $1400.
