I've been watching ammunition prices slowly come down from "ridiculous" to just "silly" of late, and was pretty convinced we might get back to "acceptable" soon. That changed when Russia invaded Ukraine and the ban on cheap(er) Russian ammunition really took hold.

I thought the major American makers had gotten their production up substantially to alleviate the shortages and the resultant higher prices, but I guess those makers kinda like the higher prices they are getting now. Hopefully, that high priced ammunition will sit on shop shelves unsold, until the realization that lower prices are needed to move that inventory a lot faster.
