it handles better than the 94 for a rifle. it was a bit late for winning the west.
Winning the West was already done, like you said. But I think the M99 was designed to be a hunting rifle rather than a "general purpose" rifle, and it certainly was innovative. Thinking it was just about 35 years between the Henry and the Savage, that did represent a "better mouse trap". Harvey |
