I recently sold that flat latch, pre-36. I had the original receipt, it was $73, I think, in 1956. As nice as it is/was, I just didn’t shoot it much. Not with having the other two. If there was one negative, it was that it had an extremely thin, and vertically serrated, trigger. Not easy to shoot well. And not because it is a snub! The two newer j frames in that picture, both have better triggers and are easily more accurate. 
The adj sighted 3” model 60 was the first revolver I bought. Surprisingly nice! I bought the 2” gun from a guy at my gun club. He bought it for his wife (classic misconception, that snubbies make great guns for untrained women. Or men, for that matter! I got it, the two RH holsters on the right side of the picture, three speed loaders and three boxes of ammo for $400! He had a smith do a trigger job on it. It is very nice indeed. The 3” gun is stock, but has a great trigger also.

So now, while the j frame family has lost a 38 member, it picked up a 22 in the form of a 4” model 63. Another, very nice j frame.
