That Nelson conversion is SWEET! It has been 99% reliable. Really, I can’t remember any failures, so…
I actually shoot it better than my buddies Volquartsen Scorpion (which has a 2lb trigger) most times. Shown is the iron sights top end. It is swappable with a pic rail top end. I have that with a red dot sight mounted. With it, it is a 1” gun at 25yd, off hand! A few years ago, I used the iron sights to win both a state match and the national title for rimfire pistol “Hit Factor.” That is, ten 6” steel plates at 15 yd, knocked down in 6.88 seconds. The muzzle device is one of several that they offer. Mine is a steel barrel weight, no (but faux) cuts for compensation. Just added weight. They make an aluminum version too, as well as true compensators in both steel and aluminum. My steel weight, makes a good bit of difference for staying on target and fast follow up shots. I won a S&W Victory some years ago. About a year ago I bought a Tactical Solutions barrel for it. I bought stainless and anodized aluminum comps from Tandemkross. Very noticeable reduction in rise using them also. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: How does this one shoot? Pretty reliable? The muzzle device strikes me as unusual on a .22....
