Yes, the early ones were Belgian. THEY are the collector's choice.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I've always liked the little Browning, and finally found this one on GB a few years ago. Seems nobody wanted a pretty Browning made in Japan, so I made him an offer, and he accepted. Do I recall that the earlier ones were Belgian, or was that just the Browning over/unders? Maybe the Miroku-built guns don't have the snob appeal but they are just as pretty! Can't wait to see that Model 12! Even the beaters were getting ridiculous prices the last time I looked (a number of years go). I gotta believe you got a bargain. Stu |
