I like my Md 15 but not that much.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: That's not cheap, but hard chrome is one of the very best finishes around.  Durable, attractive, rust-proof.  Hard chrome is completely different from chrome or nickel, and even better than stainless steel.  I would say it depends on how much the Smith & Wesson means to you.
