Maybe. If he was Waffen SS, the probabilities would be higher. Executing prisoners certainly wasn't unheard of (by all sides) during WWII, no matter the reasons. Carrying captured firearms was/is pretty common in war. There were a lot of US troops who carried captured MP40s, Lugers, etc. in Europe during WWII. Probably, also, in Korea and Vietnam. Harvey |
