It's funny you mention this gun and Alaska. This gun has actually been there and I haven't. I loaned it to a friend of mine to take up there for a week long salmon fishing trip and while it didn't molest any bears, it apparently provided peace of mind while in grizzly and black bear country during their stay.
On his second trip he borrowed a friend's 10MM Glock 20 when he got there. Apparently the 629 encouraged other .44 Magnum and .454 Casull revolver purchases. |
