For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Was the locking feature selectable so the shooter could also use the pistol as a semi-auto after being spotted? The answer was yes, the lock could be disengaged, allowing the pistol to cycle and to load another round. But one issue that was raised by doing this and keeping the suppressor on the pistol, suppression would only last for about 25 rounds before the pistol would start making the normal noise. This limitation was on using the special subsonic 147/158gr 9mm rounds that were issued with the pistol. If you tried to use regular 115 or 124gr 9mm rounds, you'd burn out the suppressor after 5-6 rounds. That was the suppressor technology (rubber wipes) that was used at the time. Harvey |
