A home page picture today, Dale. After almost ten years I know the hurt is gone but the memories remain. Having lost canine companions myself, I have to ask: did you ever get another dog? Another Shorthair? After my Lab and my Weimaraner were gone within months of each other, I thought about it but was no longer hunting, and we had a little mixed-breed house rat left - that and a cat my daughter "gifted" us.
