I think the comparison of the two events is spot-on. I also agree that it's way past time to show these little cretins that what should be in store for them is a bit different than the 10 minutes of infamy and endless news coverage they are hoping for, including annual revisits to the atrocity to pick off any forming social scabs so the community can't heal.
The news coverage should include (by law) body cam video of the perpetrator being shot to pieces and shoveled into a body bag in front of cheering onlookers. Who knows what fogs the brains of these losers and triggers them to go off the rails? Perhaps making a video available on the tiny screens they worship showing what their short future should consist of might change their direction. The first part of the solution is making that short future a sure thing. As for the rest of the wishful thinking the writer described, that will happen just as soon as we get The Giggler and her party on board... |
