Can it handle 38 Special +P?
Maybe occasionally, but never a steady diet. If you'll notice the flat latch cylinder release, you'll recognize that this was an M37 produced in the late 1950s. In addition to being a light weight frame, it just wasn't built for higher pressure ammunition being used frequently. I sold it a number of years ago to a collector who liked the condition and age.
