For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Do you still own these, Teej? I've always had a warm spot in my heart for the Bulldogs. My first .44 Special was more like the original Bulldog as shown at the top in your photo, but stainless and with a bobbed hammer--my photo at bottom. Even though I was shooting .45s and .357s at the time, the .44 Special in the Bulldog just seemed punishing--and that was even before they made the Ultra-Lite as shown at the bottom in your photo-so I traded mine away. Image Info: Poor photo but the only one I have of the 1st generation stainless steel Charter Arms Bulldog I owned in the 1980s. 3" barrel, five shot cylinder, caliber .44 Special. I sold it because at the time I felt it kicked too hard with most any load from 240gr. LSWC to Winchester Silvertip 200gr. JHPs. |
