.45 ACP out of a revolver was a war time production decision to ease logistics back in the 1917 WWI-era. Having owned a few of these guns chambered in that round, they're fun to shoot offering little recoil, good accuracy, and something else for the members of the Church of the Big Hole (i.e. .45 ACP) something to talk about. Moonclips while not ideal, are a FAST way to reload a revolver. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Why a revolver in 45 ACP? Wouldn't a 45 Colt make more sense? No need for "moon clips" and I suspect the round is just as lethal as the ACP, maybe even more so? |
