I enjoyed mine while I had it. Took it to classes and matches. But after 15 or 20 years I got tired of it and sold it. Scratched that itch, so to say. I might have kept it but after shooting several thousand rounds through it the extractor broke. I couldn’t find a replacement anywhere. I even called Novak’s and all the other nationally recognized HP ‘smiths. Finally called Browning and was told “Yeah we have some. If you send us the gun, we’ll put it in for free, since we’re selling you the part.” Long story short, the extractor was not in stock and it took me over 5 months to get my pistol back and they did end up charging me for labor. Shooting it was just never the same after that. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: An all time classic, right up there with the 1911. I've had mine for many years, very reliable and my "go to" carry semi automatic. The new one that FN brought out is an insult to the original! Image below from Joeduardo Amaral - Image Title: Browning HP Image Info: Browning HP - 9mmP |
