For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: This popped up on the home page. I still like this photo. I know he doesn't look it, but he's actually 41 years old.  Kim and I used to take him to daycare before he was old enough to tag along to the range with us when we both lived back in California. Yikes, that makes me feel a tad ancient. Especially since he's been managing the gun department within the exchange of an Air Force Base for a dozen years or so, and I'm pretty sure he knows more about guns than I do...

I ended up taking it apart to use as a parts gun for a later M1917 we got in better condition. Note how my son holds the gun. At this late date I don't even recall teaching him the nuances of gun handling, but I guess I did, as he is now a grown man who is comfortable and automatic around guns and handles them safely. I like that in a person.
